Variety and experience are two of the most important characteristics that led to Wood's success within the media world. Most recently, he acquired the role of Frodo in J.J.R. Born January 28, 1981, Elijah Jordan Wood was one of three siblings born to Debbie and Warren Wood. Full of energy and spunk, he locked his mother out of the house at the age of 2, resulting in her nicknaming him, "little monkey".

At the age of seven, little Elijah began taking acting and singing lessons, which eventually would lead him Los Angeles for The Annual International Modeling and Talent Association Convention. The agents picked up on his acting talents, and he landed small roles in television commercials for Tommy Jeans and Wavy Lays Potato Chips.
